The CJD Support Network is dependent on its members for the wealth of experience and knowledge they hold about CJD and prion disease. The greater our numbers, the stronger our voice in pressing for improvements in medical care and carer support.

As a volunteer you might help us with our management committee, or you might be able to speak about your experiences as a carer at a training day.

As a carer or a professional you might like to be linked with others to share your experiences.

By becoming a member,you can receive our free newsletter and have a say in the running of the Network.

Membership is free for carers and families, a small donation is requested from professionals.

Fundraising

The Network is dependent on fundraising to finance its programme of grants for carers of people with all forms of CJD.

We are grateful for any offers to help raise funds. We can offer advice and materials, such as T-shirts and stickers, for those who wish to organise events for the Network.

Care Grants

The CJD Support Network has awarded 14 care grants over the last three years to families in financial need through caring for a relative with all types of CJD. The care grants have mainly been awarded to help with funeral costs or extra household bills.

The care grant fund is funded totally from public donations and we would like to thank everyone who has given donations. Without donations we could not support families in the way we do.

If you wish to make a donation to the network, please send a cheque, made payable to the CJD Support Network, to address below, or use the online form to make a donation by credit card.

Every penny of your donation will go to families.
